I don't know a lot of things about this band... I was looking the line-up of the last SXSW in Austin and I saw them but I didn't waste my time listening their myspace... A few weeks ago, I was looking the line-up of Lollapalooza 2008 and I found them again... then I thought: I have to listen at least some songs... I think I started listening Five Years Time and wow! they are so good! My body was moving and I had an smile on my face while i was listening the song... And I want to share my happiness listening this great band posting the first and only EP and 1 video (they have 3) that they made with Blogotheque. Enjoy and as I always say, if you don't like the band drink an earlgreywithmilk.

This is a documentary about The National by French filmmaker Vincent Moon, who followed the group during the creation of their acclaimed 2007 release, “Boxer”. It’s an insightful and beautiful glimpse into the band’s creative process. EGWM presents.... frightened rabbit

Oh yes readers, we have a new section. Here we will introduce you new bands (it's not like surprise or scoop because the links are from other sources). And I would like to start with this scottish band... what can I say about them... Just listen a few songs of them and you will understand why I'm so excited with this band. They have two great albums: sing the greys and the midnight organ fight. And they are getting better and better. The first song of the last album is one of my favourites songs, so far, of 2008. And for sure the band will have a place in all the top bands of 2008. Just give it a try and if you don't like, drink an earl grey with milk and everything will be fine.

Dissabte 10 de maig: Acabo de treballar i vaig a buscar el tren mentres escolto el primer cd de mishima, "Lipstick Traces". M'adormo esperant el tren... normal, treballar de nit no pot ser bó... tren cap a montblanc: s'acaba el cd i poso el Trucar a casa... M'adormo de nou... (argh! el meu coll...) Arribo a Montblanc i cotxe cap a Barberà. Finalment estirat al llit escoltant el "Set tota la vida"... zzzzz.... (si, nomès em faltava escoltar el seu segon cd).

Mishima venia a Montblanc i no podia perdre'm-ho de cap manera. Encara que no sapigues on era i plogues tenia el presentiment que aquell concert em tornaria a posar la pell de gallina. I no vaig pas equivocar. Per començar, una sorpresa molt agradable: Raül Moya. Si no el coneixeu, poseu-vos les cançons del myspace (que no us faci enrere que toqui amb el grup de Miqui Puig, se que entre els nostres readers te mala fama) i ja direu. Desprès es va unir Espaldamaceta, també amb la seva guitarra acústica, per fer unes cançons junts. Una estona del tarragoni sol i una cançó final entre els dos (especial incís en la cançó de la cuina que va cantar amb el públic que s'havia acostat al teatre del centre parroquial de Montblanc en aquell dia de pluja).

15 minuts per montar el piano i fer algunes proves de so i el gran moment de la tarda (sisi... el concert va començar a les 19.10...) Mishima. Abans del concert no sabia si veuria tot el grup al complet o nomès alguns membres... Finalment el meu dilema es va solucionar: estava Carabèn, Marc Lloret als teclats i un trompetista (van fer la broma que eren la formació Mishima-Marlango per la falta de components). Ja estava tot preparat... i de cop: avui quin dia és? Dissabte. Doncs tocarem "Un altre divendres". I així va començar el set de 45 min. Un públic callat (sempre he sentit a dir que ens els concerts de Mishima tothom parla i parla) va escoltar les cançons del "Set tota la vida" i del "Trucar a casa..." en aquell teatre parroquial de Montblanc (quin moment quan Carabén va cantar Neix el món dintre de l'ull, una de les millors cançons de l'últim cd). I van anar passant les cançons fins Em dius adéu que va ser el punt final del concert... Dels dos que he vist, hem quedo amb aquest de llarg (quin greu no poder anar al concert que fan aquest divendres a l'Auditori.... si podeu no us el perdeu). En resum, el concert de Mishima va ser la millor cosa a fer en un dia de pluja com el de dissabte, llastima que al sortir seguis plovent i acabes la nit bastant xop...
